Arinitwe Brain, Tibesingwa Milton and Masika Eva Leads Kasese District In Tusker Lite Mt.Rwenzori International Marathon 2024.

Arinitwe Brain from Katadoba in Kasese Municipality finished in 7th position in 21KM race. However most of athletes' positions were not disclosed to our reporter.

The host has be struggling for the last editions of Mt Rwenzori Marathon but this edition they 100 athletes took part.

Francis Mugisha Kithulha the Executive Director of Kithulha Care Initiative who played a big role in preparation of Kasese Municipality Runners urges sponsor to consider local runners as a way of motivation.

" I request sponsors to at least plan some prizes for local runners in the next edition, even if they are not been able to perform better" Kithulha says

Peter Ogwang the Minister of State for Sports in Ugandan pledges his commitment towards enhancing the Marathon locals benefit.

“I challenge the people of Rwenzori that no one has win the medal of Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon, there is no difference between athletes from Northern Uganda who have been winning from the 1st edition. I assure to support the athletes from Rwenzori in the next marathon to collect medals.” Hon Peter Ogwang says

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
