Fundraising For Kasese Runners Knock -Wakesa Reveal

In the recently concluded Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon, the host were challenged to win because of poor preparation and lack of sports attires.

Therefore, athletes in Kasese District observed a need for the leaders and the concerned people to facilitate their trainings so that they can gain momentum of competing with the international runners in next Editions of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.

Several Leaders, Bloggers and Journalists in Kasese have been advocating for special reward for Kasese Runners, but their cry seems to have been answered.

In a video making rounds on X, captured by Wasswa Emma aka the Mad Man, a content creator show Kasese Runners requesting for running shoes.

The video prompted Amos Wakesa the Equator Hikes Director and Chief Mobilizer For Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon to inform the public that they will soon carry out a fundraising drive to support Kasese Runners.

"Guys we are going to do a fundraising soon for the kasese runners and I will start with you kasese patrons! If you are a runner and have running shoes you don’t need, kasese runners need them." Wakesa posted on X

Wakesa say the vision is to make this marathon one of the world’s premier sporting events, will always attract elite athletes and adventure seekers from across the globe. He add that is of  long-term benefits for Kasese and Uganda as a whole are immense, from boosting tourism to driving economic growth.

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
