Rwenzururu Kingdom Embarks on Health Crusade: Omusinga Mumbere Sounds Alarm on Rising Diseases
Kasese, Uganda - In a bold move to safeguard the health and well-being of his subjects, Charles Mumbere, the Omusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom, is launching a passionate appeal for regular medical check-ups, warning of a surge in diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV, prostate cancer, and cervical cancer.
"I implore my subjects to prioritize their health by undergoing regular medical check-ups. The rising cases of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV, prostate cancer, and cervical cancer are alarming, and we must take action," Mumbere urges.
Mumbere cautions against self-medication, emphasizing the importance of seeking medical knowledge before using any drugs. "It's crucial that we seek medical advice before taking any medication. Self-medication can have devastating consequences, and we must avoid it at all costs."
The Omusinga attributes the rising cancer cases in the region to the presence of minerals in Rwenzori. "As we are aware, Rwenzori is rich in minerals, which unfortunately contributes to the increasing cases of cancer. We must be vigilant and take proactive measures to protect our health."
In a bid to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS, the kingdom is planning to launch a campaign in 2025. Mumbere appeals to the public to practice safe sex and undergo regular check-ups. "We must take responsibility for our health and well-being. I urge everyone to practice safe sex and undergo regular check-ups to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS."
Mumbere emphasizes the importance of maintaining peace, promoting unity, and focusing on development within the kingdom. "Let us work together to build a healthier, more united, and prosperous kingdom. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations."
Ends.
