HIMA POLICE FC RECEIVES BOOST AHEAD OF IGP CUP TOURNAMENT

Kasese, Uganda - February 1, 2025. Hima Police FC, the unbeaten divisional football team from Rwenzori East Region Kasese, has received a major boost ahead of the ongoing IGP Cup Tournament 2nd Edition. The team was donated jersey uniforms by the DPC Hima Division Police, a move aimed at supporting sports in the region.

The donation comes at a crucial time as Hima Police FC, with its impressive unbeaten record since the establishment of Rwenzori East Region Kasese, is likely to represent Rwenzori East against Albertine Region in the upcoming games.i. Hima Police FC is leading with 18 points followed by Kasese Police FC with 10 Points

According to Nelson Tumushime, SP Spokesperson Police Kasese, the police are committed to supporting sports development in the region. "We are grateful for the significant contribution from the DPC, and we believe this will motivate our teams to perform even better," he said.

The IGP Cup Tournament 2nd Edition features two categories: football and netball. The competition is part of efforts to promote sports and community engagement among police officers and the public.
