ROGERS MUTHAHUNGA PLEDGES TO LOBBY FOR VITAL SERVICES, YOUTH TALENT DEVELOPMENT, AND A CLEANER MPONDWE TOWN : KASESE
Rogers Muthahunga, a leading contender for the Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council chairperson seat, has pledged to lobby for vital services, prioritize youth talent development, and ensure a cleaner town if elected.
To achieve this vision, Muthahunga recently held a consultative meeting with stakeholders and supporters ahead of the NRM Party primaries.
"I am committed to working tirelessly for the people of Mpondwe-Lhubiriha," Muthahunga said during the meeting. "I will ensure that our town receives the vital services it deserves, including better road infrastructure and efficient garbage collection."
Muthahunga also emphasized his commitment to youth talent development, promising to create opportunities for young people to discover and nurture their skills.
The NRM Party primaries are scheduled to take place soon, and Muthahunga is gearing up to face off against other contenders. The winner of the primaries will represent the NRM Party in the upcoming Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council elections.
As part of the party's electoral process, the NRM District Conference will play a crucial role in generating consensus on key policies and promoting unity among party members.
Muthahunga's consultative meeting was attended by various stakeholders, including local leaders, business owners, and youth representatives. Notably, Muserero Augustine, a retired secondary school headteacher, and Mr. Anatosi Sunday Swalhah, a renowned businessman popularly known as "Mtoto wa Bwera", were in attendance.
Augustine endorsed Muthahunga's candidacy, urging NRM supporters to rally behind him. "Rogers has the vision and leadership skills to transform our town," Augustine said.
Swalhah also threw his weight behind Muthahunga, calling on NRM supporters to unite behind him. "Let's give Rogers the support he needs to win," Swalhah said.
Thembo Dan, the Secretary for Sports and Culture in the Kasese District Youth Executive, also rallied the youth to support Muthahunga.
"Rogers' leadership will unlock vital government services for our community," Dan said.
