Rwenzururu Kingdom Mourns Deputy Minister in Tragic Attack in DR. Congo

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom is mourning the loss of Hon. Anuarite Kavira Kyalima, Deputy Minister of Intercultural Cooperation and External Relations, who was brutally murdered in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday, April 29, 2025. According to reports, Hon. Anuarite was attacked by unknown assailants while returning from a burial ceremony. Her death is a significant blow to the Kingdom and ongoing efforts toward cross-border cooperation and intercultural harmony. The Kingdom through its spokesperson Hon. Kanyonyi Geoffrey announced that its flag will be flown at half-mast for three days (April 30 - May 2, 2025 - Burial) as a mark of respect and mourning.
