Hon. Centenary Robert the Forum For Democratic Change Vice Chairperson Western Region Warn Party Supporters to from an idea to influence and mobilize fellows on an unpopular idea of dissolution of the party to stop such diversionary moves.
" I call upon FDC members to be united and stay away from diversions that lead them lose focus. It's not a good idea to dissolve party that has taken more than two decades and when some have sacrificed their lives too" Hon. Centenary warn
"The increasing number of FDC members on public rallies should teach those still dreaming negative about the party but they should join efforts together" Hon. Centenary add.
On (Friday) 23rd August 2024 Hon. Kathika called upon all FDC supporters in Kasese District to join National Unity Platform Party.
"Forum For Democratic Change has been bought by National Resistance Movement Party" Kathika said
His comment comes after following Besigye’s FDC Katonga faction announcing their new plans of forming a new political party during their delegates conference on 19th August 2024. They also proposed to dissolve FDC following country wide consultative meetings spearheaded by Besigye. Hon. Kathika had said
Kasese District Forum for Democratic Change FDC Chairperson Kabuku Ronald assure party members to stay calm and firm in their party since it is not going anywhere.
"I warn Hon. Kathika against making such speeches, alleging that they know that Kathika as the one who works for NRM instead. Mr. Kabuku explain
"FDC party supporters in the district not to follow the proposed plans of dissolving FDC to create a new political party. But let's mobilize more people to join us" Ronald Kabuku advises
According to Kabuku, the evidence from the Kasese RDC Lt. Joe Walusimbi who allegedly reveal that they were working with Kathika when he was still a member of parliament.
While responding to Kabuku, Hon. Kathika note that FDC party no longer exists and that it was bought long time ago even when he was still a member. He thus urge members to either join NUP or to form a coalition as a way of achieving their mission.
