Biira's Big Break: Generous Donor Offers Half Bursary for All Her Studies
In an incredible display of community support, Biira Mackline, an 11-year-old student from Eden Preparatory School, has been awarded a half bursary for all her studies, thanks to the generosity of Kabagambe Kenneth.
The story began on 19th September 2024 when Jonan Mumbere and Birungu Severinah of Jee Rick News captured a video of Biira reading books under a street light near her home, which quickly went viral and caught the attention of education supporters. Kenneth Kabagambe, one of the supporters, was moved by Biira's dedication to her studies and pledged to support her education career.

Today 23rd September 2024, Kenneth committed to paying 50% of Biira's school fees until she completes her studies. Mr. Rogers Thembo, who presented Kenneth's offer, expressed their commitment to seeing Biira succeed.
Madam Betty, the Bursar at Eden Preparatory School, expressed her gratitude for Kenneth's support, which will help Biira continue her education. Biira's parents had struggled to pay her school fees, but thanks to Kenneth's generosity, she can now focus on her studies without worrying about the financial burden.
