Hon. Bwambale Julius Owa Matunda, the current youth councilor for Karambi Sub-county in Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), has decided to run for the position of Parish councilor for the same Sub County  He revealed this to a reporter at his office in Karambi sub-county, citing the current Parish Councilor, Kibikyabu David's, bid for Chairperson LCIII as his motivation. Hon. Julius Bwambale promised voters he would mobilize donations to support children's education and improve social services like infrastructure, medical care, networking, and crop marketing. Mrs. Janet Muhindo from Buhuna village, whose husband passed away in 2019, expressed gratitude to Hon. Julius Bwambale for paying her daughter's school fees and pledged to mobilize support for him in the village. Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Responds to Petition from Three MPs Seeking Medical Support for Omusinga

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has taken note of a circulating petition dated April 8, 2025, addressed to the President of Uganda, seeking urgent medical support for His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma. The petition, signed by Hon. Thembo Gideon Mujungu (MP Busongora County South), Hon. Sowedi Kitanywa (MP Busongora County North), and Hon. Ferigo Kam bale (MP Kasese Municipality), expresses concern over the delayed fulfillment of a presidential pledge to facilitate specialized medical treatment for the Omusinga and his wife. In a press statement, the 1st Deputy Prime Minister, Ow'Ek Baluku Muhesi Patrick, clarified that the Kingdom was neither consulted nor officially copied into the petition. TUSKER LITE RWENZORI MARATHON AND UGANDA WILDLIFE AUTHORITY FORGE PARTNERSHIP

The Rwenzori Marathon and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) held a meeting aimed at promoting tourism and conservation in the Rwenzori ranges and surrounding national parks. According to sources, the partnership was formalized following a meeting between the Rwenzori Marathon team, led by Team Leader Wekesa Amos, and UWA's Executive Director, James Musinguzi. The collaboration is expected to see UWA provide sizable support to the marathon, which has been recognized for its role in promoting tourism in the region. The partnership will focus on key areas including branding and marketing, discounted rates for runners, transportation, and park ranger support for the 42km run starting in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This development is set to elevate the Rwenzori Marathon to new heights, cementing its position as a premier sporting event in Uganda. LIGHT FM FM LAUNCHES MARATHON TO SUPPORT MPONDWE LHUBIRIHA SECONDARY SCHOOL ADF ATTACK VICTIMS

AWR 102.9 Light FM FM has launched a marathon to support families affected by the 2023 ADF attack at Mpondwe Lhubiriha Secondary School, marking its 10-year anniversary. The event, featuring 5km and 10km runs, will take place on May 11, 2025, at KBLC. The marathon aims to support families affected by the Nyabugando ADF attack. On June 16, 2023, the ADF rebels attacked Mpondwe Lhubiriha Secondary School, resulting in 42 deaths, including 38 students, and leaving eight people severely injured. The rebels also abducted several students and set fire to the boys' dormitory and a school vehicle. BREAKING NEWS : Four Killed in Bundibugyo Road Accident

A devastating road accident in Burondo village, Bundibugyo district, has claimed four lives. According to eyewitnesses, a vehicle with registration number UBB 262Y, traveling from Fort Portal to Bundibugyo, lost control and crashed into a nearby house. The incident, which happened in the afternoon, has left the community in shock. While no official statement has been released by the police, a journalist at the scene confirmed the fatalities.
