TUSKER LITE RWENZORI MARATHON AND UGANDA WILDLIFE AUTHORITY FORGE PARTNERSHIP

The Rwenzori Marathon and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) held a meeting aimed at promoting tourism and conservation in the Rwenzori ranges and surrounding national parks.

According to sources, the partnership was formalized following a meeting between the Rwenzori Marathon team, led by Team Leader Wekesa Amos, and UWA's Executive Director, James Musinguzi.

The collaboration is expected to see UWA provide sizable support to the marathon, which has been recognized for its role in promoting tourism in the region.

The partnership will focus on key areas including branding and marketing, discounted rates for runners, transportation, and park ranger support for the 42km run starting in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This development is set to elevate the Rwenzori Marathon to new heights, cementing its position as a premier sporting event in Uganda.
