Standard Chartered Bank Uganda Gives UGX 150 Million to Support Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon

Kampala, Uganda - Standard Chartered Bank Uganda is supporting the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon for the fourth year in a row. The bank is giving UGX 150 million to help elite runners and promote sports and environmental sustainability in Uganda. The bank's support will see top prizes of UGX 10 million for 42km winners and UGX 7 million for 21km winners, with additional cash prizes for top performers, persons with disabilities, and standout local athletes from Kasese. According to Sanjay Rughani, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Uganda, the partnership has transformed Kasese, creating opportunities and pride for its residents.
