All The 16 Clubs Have Passed The Club Licensing Exercise Ahead Of The UPL 2024 Season.


The Federation of Uganda Football Association confirmed all their members in Uganda premier League have passed licensing exercise.

There have been a challenge in licensing of clubs where by sometime teams have found missing on fixture due to their failure to fulfil the requirements.

Mbarara City,SC Villa, Express and Arua Hill have ever faced a challenge in licensing.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)’s vision is to be the best footballing country in Africa on and off the field of play.

There are deliberate efforts that the federation is undertaking to achieve this bold vision through providing workshops of licensing and other programs.

Registration Opens for 2026 Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon

Registration has officially opened for the fifth edition of the Rwenzori Marathon, one of Uganda’s most scenic and internationally recognized long-distance races. Scheduled for August 22, 2026, the event will take place in Kasese District in western Uganda and is expected to attract both local and international runners. The marathon, which has earned a World Athletics Label Race status, continues to grow in prominence on the global running calendar. Participants will compete across four race categories: the full marathon (42 kilometers), half marathon (21 kilometers), 10 kilometers, and 5 kilometers. Organizers say the event is designed to cater to both elite athletes and recreational runners.
