Chelangat Abel and Emily Chebet Wins the 3rd Edition of the Tusker Lit Mt. Rwenzori International Marathon.

Chelangat Abel and Emily Chebet were crowned male and female winners of the third edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori international Marathon that took place in the desirable town of Kasese on Saturday, August 2024.

Chelangat crossed the finishing line at 02:14:59 whilst Chebet clocked 02:42:08, each claiming a Shs10m cash prize.

Emily Chebet- Female Winner 42km

The duo are champions of 42km men’s and women’s categories. Each won prize money of UGX 10Million.

They received their gold medals from Peter Ogwang the Minister of State for Sports in Ugandan

Rwenzori Marathon, there is no difference between athletes from Northern Uganda who have been winning from the 1st edition. Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
