"Let’s Brace Ourselves for an Engaging Tourism Month" Hon. Bahinduka Mugarra tell Ugandans

Hon. Bahinduka Mugarra Martin the Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities used his X handle on 28th August 2024 to inform Ugandans and World at about Tourism ongoing events in Kasese. 

"I am glad to note that activities leading to this year’s edition of the Rwenzori Theluji Festival 2024 are already underway in Kasese and we have patriotic, dedicated Ugandans to thank for the good job being done to clean, green and promote Rwenzori Region as a prime destination." Hon Magarra noted

The Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Hon. Magarra and Other Government Officials 

He show that Kasese is hosting a number of activities this year, where on behalf of government indicate that they now have even bigger causes to support the tourism sector in the region.


Fauna 

"Kasese is hosting numerous events this year including the #MissTourism pageant grand finale, World Tourism Day celebrations slated for September 27th and thereafter, #ExploreRwenzori campaign." Hon. Magarra add

Several activities have been done in preparation for the big events. Recently Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon ended successfully and it was used as tourism event because it attracted a number of people from different countries.

Events Program 

This years Festival is Organized By Kasese Tourism Investors Forum, and many organizations have been engaged to promote Tourism in Rwenzori Region, they include, Uganda Communication Communion,  Roofings, Uganda Tourism Board among others.

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival. Arinitwe Brain from Katadoba in Kasese Municipality finished in 7th position in 21KM race. However most of athletes' positions were not disclosed to our reporter.
