Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu needs Ug Shs. 320 million for 58th Coronation Anniversary

Preparations for the 58th Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere have officially commenced.

The Coronation Anniversary that is believed to attract multitudes of Rwenzururu subjects in Uganda, the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo and visitors is expected to be presided over by the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on October 19th, 2024 at the Kasese Golf Course in Kasese town.

This year’s coronation Anniversary will be celebrated under the theme; “Promoting, Unity, Peace and Tourism in the Rwenzori Region.”  

Hon. Baritazara Kule, the Deputy Prime Minister for Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu asked the organizing committee to set strategies that will enable the success of the event. 

“As I commission you today, please make thorough mobilization of resources in and outside Kasese district. Spare time and have the event at heart; that’s the only way our function would be fantastic.

And to the media personalities (reporters and bloggers), please don’t negatively report about the kingdom, remember you have a bigger audience and through you, we can either achieve or lose.” Kule adds.

He was addressing the organizing committee that included OBR Ministers, selected Rwenzururu subjects and members of the press among others yesterday at Rwenzori International University in Kasese town.

Rt. Hon. Noah Nzaghale, the Speaker of the House of Representatives who also doubles as the Vice Chairperson for the Organizing Committee revealed that they have a budget of Shillings 320 million to make this year’s celebrations colourful.

Let us all have our kingdom at heart and embrace all its programs, especially the upcoming event as we mark the 58th year of the Coronation of His Majesty Charles Mumbere Wesley Iremangoma.”

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
