Several Organizations, Politician and Business Community Cleaned Kasese Town in Preparation for A Tourism Week

Kasese Municipality beginning this weekend will host a number of activities including the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon and Rwenzori Theluji Festival

Speaking to cleaners, who begun collection at Rwenzori Square on Thursday ( 22 August 2024), Mr. Baritazara Benson Kule the Chairperson Board of Directors, Kasese Tourism Investors Forum said that cleaning the town is enable visitors from within and outside the country explore the beauty of Kasese Town

" We need to keep Kasese Town because we have visitors in area. We must cherish our town " Mr. Baritazara said.

Ms. Carolyn Zawede the Secretary General Climate Change institute Uganda indicates that they will continue encouraging public to keep Kasese Town clean even after the Tourism Periods.

" People should impress the use of garbage bins that have been placed all over the town" Ms. Carolyn said.

Meanwhile Mr. Muthundi Nason the Executive Director-Kasese Platform Advocacy Network urges public to make proper of this week and ensure they gain some money from these activities

Politicians who Participated in the Cleaning Activity includes , Hon. Kambale Ferigo the Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Sarah Bakeke , Hon. Kithulha Francis among others.

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
