Alleged Killer of Two Daughters Further Remanded - Kasese
Kasese Chief Magistrate's Court further remand a renowned traditional and popular herbalist in Kasese, Abdul Kasita to Mubuku Government Prison for an alleged murder by poisoning.
Kasita on Wednesday (4th September 2024) re-remanded by Her Worship Betty Ajok, the Chief Magistrate who didn't mention his case because it was beyond her jurisdiction.
It is alleged that on August 8, 2024, while at Kogere in Rukoki Ward of Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality Kasita poisoned Catherine Kabugho, aged 10 and Caroline Mbambu, aged 8.
The two were Kasita’s stepdaughters. It was reported that Kasita offered the two children a chapatti which they ate and developed stomach complications. They were rushed to Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Kasese Town for treatment but unfortunately died.
Presiding over the court session at her champers, Her Worship noted that the suspect shall appear in court on September 24 for the mentioning of the case as he appends being committed to the High Court.
