BWERA VYPERS S.A WIN INAUGURAL "GO BACK TO SCHOOL" TOURNAMENT

Kasese, Uganda - In a thrilling finale, Bwera Vypers S.A emerged victorious in the inaugural "Go Back to School" Under-18 football tournament, held at St. Luke Mundongo playground in Nyakiyumbu.

Tournament Highlights

- Bwera Vypers S.A won the championship title, defeating Skyline S.A 7-6 in a penalty shootout.

- Ndongo Express S.A secured third place.

- Top performers received trophies, medals, books, pens, and pencils.

Muhindo Mukoteni Hartley, the tournament's sponsor, emphasized the importance of education. "I will add more incentives to the tournament in future editions," Mukoteni promised.

- Best Goalkeeper: Farouck (Bwera Vypers S.A)

- Best Defender: Mauwa (Skyline S.A)

- Top Scorer: Akram Baresa (Bwera Vypers S.A)

- Best Player: Kagaba (Bwera Vypers S.A)

- Best Young Player: Papa (Skyline S.A)

Mumbere Baritazara, aka Vibrant Ug International, championship chairman, invited more teams to join the next edition. "We will recognize best performers, individuals, and teams contributing to academy football growth."

Prizes

- Winner: Trophy and UGX 100,000

- Runner-up: UGX 70,000

Next Edition

The "Go Back to School" tournament will return in February 2025.
