Chaptegie Allegedly Killer Dies..

Reports indicate that Dickson Ndiema, an ex-boyfriend of Ugandan athlete Rebecca Cheptegei died.

It is reported that he died Monday night while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Eldoret in Kenya.

Ndiema is accused of dousing petrol on Cheptegei after an unresolved argument, and setting her on fire. The Ugandan Olympic runner succumbed to burn injuries on September 5, 2024

Cheptegei, 33, had sustained burns to 80 percent of her body, leading to total organ failure.

The outgoing LC3 Chairperson of Kitswamba Town Council in Kasese District, Mr. Monday John Wakighoma, has appealed to Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to formally recognize his family’s contribution to Uganda’s liberation struggle, claiming that NRM veterans once hid at their home during the bush war.
