Dismiss Two Corrupt District Officers From Service - Kasese FDC Tell LC V Chairperson.

The Kasese District LCV Chairperson asked to disappoint two of his executive members Robert Kisunzu and Rebbeca Kabbyanga over corruption-related scandals

Hon. Kisunzu is District Secretary for Works for Kasese District Local Government and Rebbeca Kabbyanga a members of District Service Committee .

The call was sounded on Monday (2nd September 2024) by the Kasese FDC Chairperson Ronald Kabuku while talking to the media in Kasese town. He ask the district boss, Eliphaz Muhindi Bukombi to remove Kisunzu and Rebbeca from the offices they are holding because they are among the suspected corrupt leaders who are eating local people’s money.

"Enough evidence that shows these two people have allegedly been stealing from people promising to give them jobs which the people have never got." Mr. Kabuku say

He also threaten to influence the district council to censure Mr Muhindi if he does not remove the said suspects from the offices they occupy.

While trying to ask the district boss about the issue on phone,Mr Muhindi said that he is not in town which limited him to media a comment.

However, on his part, Mr. Kisunzu told our reporter that Kabuku has no authority of ordering them out from office.

" I dismiss dismiss the rumor being spread about me that i solicited shs2.2 m from Juliet Biira of Hima town council promising her a job of parish chief " Kisunzu clarify 

Kisunzu say that he does not know them and that he has never sent back part of the said money as they had alleged.

Meanwhile on 13th July 2024 Ms. Rebecca Kabyanga Kabugho, a Member of the Kasese District Public Service Commission, refunded more than five million shillings which she reportedly received as a bribe to have a Primary school teacher employed by public service.

On same day , Ms.Jovia Masika a resident of Nyakasanga-Umoja cell in Kasese Municipality, acknowledged having received the money from Rebecca through his friend on condition of anonymity, after the Media and Kasese Youth Link for Development published stories of bribes for public jobs in Kasese district service commission.
