Mahango Youth Champions Plant over 300 Tress at Nyamutswa Hills.- Kasese

Mahango Youth Champions in partnership with Rwenzori Theluji Festival Gala on Saturday (7th September 2024) planted over 300 trees on historical Hills of Nyamutswa in Nyamisule village Mahango sub-county Kasese District.

Kasyakulhu Planting a Tree 

According to the two partners trees planted are aimed protecting the snows on Rwenzori mountains.

The Chieftain Nyamutswa Hills, Kibingo Bwambale appreciate Mahango Youth Champions the idea of planting trees on hills which has a historical background in Rwenzori Kingdom.

"Trees attract rainfall, preserve the nature, and restore disappearing snows which is resulting from harsh climatic conditions characterized by prolonged sunshine". Kibingo say.

The Team Leader for Mahango Youth Champions, Julius Kasyakulhu say that tree planting is their target of conserving the environment and celebrating with Mahango youth who recently participated in Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.

" I ask non- governmental organization to distance themselves from political affiliations and focus on extended services to the public" Mr..Kasyakulhu say

Brian Muhindo and Mugisha Milton Kalite who participated in tree planting and in recently Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon commend Kasyakulhu, Kule Baritazara and Kithulha Mugisha Francis for the supporter rendered to them during the Marathon.

The duo further show their disappointment over Kasese Leaders who failed to motivate Kasese Runners after the marathon.

Milikiyodi Bitakuma and Mrs. Kalemba Luka the area residents ask Rwenzururu Kingdom to ensure enough publicity about the marathon to increase the number of participants from the host district mostly rural areas.

Currently, Kasese Municipality is facing floods which has left two people dead by press time and residents in fear.

Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Responds to Petition from Three MPs Seeking Medical Support for Omusinga

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has taken note of a circulating petition dated April 8, 2025, addressed to the President of Uganda, seeking urgent medical support for His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma. Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
