Storm Destroy a School, Farms and Four Homesteads in Rwenjaza

Residents and Leaders in Omurusenyi Village, Rwenjaza Sub County, Kitagwenda District are in tears after a heavy down pour destroyed their properties.

According to reports from local leaders the rain with, wind and hailstones occured on ( 30th August 2024) at around 4pm in the evening destroyed crops and other properties in the area such as coffee, beans, maize, bananas, buildings and domestic animals killed.

"Four Houses and Rwenjaza Primary School, have been destroyed by heavy rains and wind that stormed the area" Mr Turyatemba Mesearch the Rwenjaza Sub County LC III Chairperson report 

Mr Turyatemba explain that he's worried about the well-being of citizens since most of their farm crops were destroyed exposing them to hunger 

Destroyed Banana Plantation 

Kobusingye Stellah Akiiki a concerned citizen and a local leader in the area request for support from government and other well-wishers.

"We request government to come up and help the affected families by providing them with food relief, shelter since houses were blown off by winds.

She also request government to intervene in the construction of Rwenjaza primary School before third term begin.
