The Influence of Media Among Sports Clubs in Rwenzori Region.

Over the years, the relationship between soccer and the media has been changing and intensifying, given the professionalism of its organization, the growth of the media and the impact they have in society.

Football Clubs In Rwenzori Region have accepted that media influences the development of the game.

Ms. Catherine Kasemeza the New Communications Officer for Fort Portal City FC 

Recently, Galactical FC a Kasese Based Football Club appointed Producer Joker as the Communication officer for the Club.

Joker is a Journalist who mainly focus on local sports promotion. He is Sports Presenter at AWR Light FM Kasese.He holds Football administration Course Level 1 (FAMCO), Media officer Rwenzori province ,She Kasese SC respectively. Joker has always encouraged locals to support sports from the grass root.

In related information Fort City FC has also appointed Ms. Catherine Kasemeza as the New Communications Officer  

Kasemeza, has a bright background and expertise to the role having worked in different capabilities.

She worked as content creator, website writer and photographer at USSSA where she perfectly amplified the brand.

Omega Peter Kasese a Journalist based in Kasese, was in June appointed as Media officer for Vision Sports Club. In his remarks Omega encouraged leaders to support sports activities in order to control the rate of unemployment amongst the youth.

Mumbere Baritazara commonly known as Vibrant Ug a Student at Ibanda University and Public Relations Officer for Ndongo United Sports Club a which is based in Bwera Kasese reveal that media motivate people to take part in sports activities.

Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Responds to Petition from Three MPs Seeking Medical Support for Omusinga

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has taken note of a circulating petition dated April 8, 2025, addressed to the President of Uganda, seeking urgent medical support for His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma. The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
