ARTISANS IN KASESE, UGANDA, SET TO RECEIVE DIT CERTIFICATES

"We are thrilled to see artisans in Kasese acquiring DIT certificates, which will open up new opportunities for them," said Kambale Ferigo, Director of Big Heart Foundation. "This is a significant step towards empowering our local talent and promoting economic growth in the region."

Artisans Registering for DIT Certificates 

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Big Heart Foundation has partnered with the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) to provide DIT certificates to artisans in Kasese, Uganda. This move is expected to revolutionize the lives of these skilled workers, enabling them to explore new avenues and improve their socio-economic status.

Natusima Mariat, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her excitement, saying, "I am eager to receive this certificate. It will help me to improve my skills and contest for various political positions, as well as enhance my academic career."

Baluku Godfrey, another artisan, echoed similar sentiments, stating, "This certificate will help me to acquire expertise in my skill and expose me to job opportunities. I am grateful to the Big Heart Foundation and DIT for this initiative."

The DIT certificates are recognized under the Uganda Vocational Qualifications Framework (UVQF), making them a valuable asset for artisans in Kasese. The assessment and certification process is conducted by the DIT, ensuring that the artisans meet the required standards.

This initiative is a shining example of how collaboration between organizations can bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities. As Kambale Ferigo aptly put it, "Empowering our local talent is crucial for economic growth and development. We are proud to be part of this journey."

The artisans are expected to receive their certificates soon, which will mark a significant milestone in their journey towards economic empowerment.

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night.
