Bishop Nason Baluku Inspires Parents and Students to Embrace Education and Spiritual Growth

The message was sounde over the weekend during a confirmation and dedication service at St Paul's Cathedral Church in Kasese Municipality, Bishop Nason Baluku of South Rwenzori Diocese encouraged parents to support their children's academic pursuits and spiritual growth. He emphasized, "The everlasting legacy for a family is in education."

Bishop Baluku advised parents to fulfill their responsibilities by providing necessary requirements for their children to study. He also encouraged parents to be "exemplary, hardworking, and interactive with their children."

The bishop further challenged the 247 confirmants to "trust in the Lord with all their hearts and not to learn on their own understanding." He emphasized, "In any way, there should be God's acknowledgment to remain straight in their path because God has the power to give knowledge."

Venerable Charles Mbusa, Sub-dean at St Paul's Cathedral, urged the newly confirmed Christians to "repent and turn to God for spiritual guidance." He stressed, "Students should be committed to studies so that they may be nurtured as Christians who will lead the nation and church at large."

Reverend Father Vincent Bwambale, chaplain at Kasese Secondary School, emphasized, "Believe and strengthen your faith and relationship with God, regardless of your religious affiliation."

The confirmants, drawn from various schools, promised to serve the Lord. Biira Alinethu exclaimed, "I promise to serve the Lord and encourage others to understand the importance of confirmation and religious education!" Muhindo Asah pledged, "I promise to serve the Lord until my last breath!"

This inspiring service highlighted the power of education, faith, and family in shaping the next generation. As Bishop Baluku concluded, "Empower your children, and you will empower the future!"
