Bwera Secondary School and Crimson Preparatory School are the champions of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Schools Debate and Essay Competition 1st Edition which happened 15th October 2024"
Bwera SS excelled in the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Debate and Essay competition, despite the loss of their senior candidate, showcasing their resilience and dedication to the competition's theme of peace, unity, and development in the kingdom."

"We are thrilled to see our students excel in this competition, showcasing their understanding of the kingdom's values and its significance in promoting peace, unity, and development," said Kule Jonthan, a student at Bwera Secondary School.
Biira Marion, a primary seven pupil at Crimson Primary School, added, "This competition has helped us build confidence in public speaking and exposed us to the world of leadership, where we can analyze issues affecting our kingdom."

Hon. Joshua Baluku, OBR Minister of Education and Sports, emphasized, "Education is key to development, and we aim to strengthen peace, unity, and development in our schools and students."
Rt. Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga, Prime Minister for Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, urged students to embrace the kingdom's values, saying, "OBR is a source of peace and unity, and we must work together to promote development sustainability."
Mr. Sam Baluku, a judge in the competition, noted, "Such school engagements promote unity and peaceful cohabitation among the 52 tribes in the Rwenzururu Kingdom."
Biira Joyce, the District Female Councilor for Nyamwamba Division, representing the secretary for Social Services, pledged government support towards the activity, further emphasizing the importance of the competition.
Kasese Secondary School and Nadir Preparatory School were in the second positions respectively. The winning Schools will be awarded on the 58th Coronation Day by Omusinga Charles Wisely. All ten participating schools received certificates of participation, and students were encouraged to continue striving for excellence.
