Get Ready to Groove: Kasese District to Host 2025 National Schools Music Festival
Kasese District is selected by the Ministry of Education and Sport to host the national schools music festival in 2025. This honor comes as a result of the area's prevailing peace and security, brought about by peace experts and government security organs.
Recently, Kasese successfully hosted World Tourism Day, where numerous learning institutions participated in activities like music, dance, drama, and a town clean-up.
"The Ministry of Education and Sports selects Kasese to host the country music festival in 2025," announces Mr. Girivazio Monday Bwambale, Kasese District Vice Chairperson LC V. He adds, "About 120 schools have so far shown interest in participating in the competitions."
Notably, Bwera Secondary School excelled in this year's music festivals competitions, emerging as one of the top competitors and proudly bringing home three trophies.
Music is playing a vital role in promoting Uganda's rich cultural diversity, showcasing the country's unique heritage. Many talented individuals are leveraging music as a means to earn a living, fostering economic growth and self-sustainability.
Mr. Bwambale encourages the host district to practice diligently, saying, "Let's ensure our schools emerge among the champions."
The competition is slated to take place in various schools across the district in August 2025, with exact dates and venues to be communicated shortly.
Ends.
