Omusinga Mumbere Vows to Upgrade Nyakasanga Playground to Stadium

King Charles Wesley Mumbere, also known as Omusinga Mumbere, has pledged to transform Nyakasanga Playground into a fully-fledged stadium. The playground, located in Kasese District, is the main recreational facility in the area and hosts various community events and activities.

"This stadium upgrade is a dream come true for our community," said Omusinga Mumbere. "We are committed to promoting sports development and community engagement in the region, and this stadium will be a hub for talent and entertainment."

In a related development, Hon. Kambale Ferigo, the member of parliament for Kasese Municipality, thanked the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu for organizing a football tournament, which saw Kasese Municipality Select emerge as champions after beating Bundibungyo Select 2:0. "This tournament is a great opportunity for our young people to showcase their skills and potentially secure scholarships or professional contracts," he said.

The champions, Kasese Municipality Select, were awarded a trophy and prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance. The team's captain, expressed his gratitude to the organizers and sponsors, saying, "We are thrilled to have won this tournament and are grateful for the support of our community and leaders."

A community member, Kabagambe Kenneth, also highlighted that sports are part of income-generating activities. "Sports can create jobs and stimulate economic growth in our community," he said. "We are excited about the potential benefits of this stadium upgrade and the opportunities it will bring."
