KASESE DISTRICT MOURNS THE LOSS OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON

Kasese, Uganda - The Kasese District is in mourning following the sudden passing of Mr. Lawrence Turuganya, the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission for Kasese District. Mr. Turuganya's death was confirmed by Kasese District Chairman, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, after he collapsed at his home in Ibanda and was pronounced dead at Afya Medical Centre in Kasese.

Mr. Turuganya was a dedicated public servant who had a significant impact on the community. He was also the former chairperson of the laity council for Ibanda Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Kasese and a retired Kasese Municipal Education officer. His contributions to the district will be deeply missed.

The community is shocked and saddened by his sudden passing, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched. May he rest in peace. We will be updating you about barrial arrangement.

Bernard Cheptoch and Rachel Chebet Zena are the Champions for the 4th Edition of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.

It was attended by runners from 35 countries, highlighting how the Marathon is international. Hon. Gladys Boos, the Deputy Speaker of the Kenya National Assembly, blessed the marathon, explaining that the marathon shouldn't be used just for running but be considered as a gem that Uganda currently has.
