Local Leaders and Video Artists Unite to Boost Film Production in Rwenzori Region

In a groundbreaking collaboration, local leaders and video artists in Rwenzori Region, Uganda, have joined forces to promote film development in the district. At a recent gathering held in Kasese Town, they discussed ways to improve the community and identified key areas that need attention.

"We are excited to work together to promote development in Kasese," said Mulhangira Kato, PearlWood Kasese Branch coordinator  "We have identified areas such as land ownership and building a theater as key priorities, where our talents can be availed"

The group expressed gratitude to Hon. Fregio Bwambale, the area MP, for bringing Rwenzori TV to Kasese, which has significantly contributed to the district's growth.

"We are thankful for the support of our leaders and the contribution of Rwenzori TV," said Shanitah Love, a performing artist and official from Pearlwood Uganda. "We are united in our mission to promote socio-economic development across the Film Value Chain."

The collaboration has received a significant boost from Hon. Kambale Ferigo, the Member of Parliament for Kasese Municipality, who has pledged to support filmmakers in the district.

"I will continue to support filmmakers by showing their movies on Rwenzori TV," said Hon. Ferigo. "We must recognize and appreciate the creative genius of our filmmakers."

Filmmakers in Kasese have welcomed the MP's commitment, expressing their gratitude for the support.

"This is a game-changer for us," said Alfred Bwambale one of the prominent filmmaker. "We are excited to see our work showcased on Rwenzori TV and are looking forward to continuing to produce high-quality content."

With this partnership, the film industry in Rwenzori is poised to reach new heights, promoting development and showcasing the talent of local filmmakers.

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night.
