MESSIAH RADIO LISTENERS CLUB RAISES 40M FOR SKILLING CENTER
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Messiah Radio Listeners club, comprising dedicated radio listeners, has raised a total of 40 million shillings towards the construction of a skilling center in Nyamirangara Cell, Central Division, Kasese Municipality. The initiative aims to support young mothers who have dropped out of school and seeks to address the unemployment challenge in the district.
"We are moving in the right direction," said Hon Godfery Baluku Kabyanga, Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, who was the chief guest at the event. "I urge you all to embrace a saving and business culture to enhance your home income."
Hon Florence Kabugho, Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, pledged to support the project with 300 bags of cement. "This skilling center will go a long way in addressing the unemployment challenge that our district is grappling with," she said.
Rev Eng Gabriel Fataki, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at South Rwenzori Messiah Radio, also pledged support with 200 iron sheets. "We are committed to supporting this noble cause," he said.
