Mob Attack and Drowning Leave Kasese Residents Shaken

In a shocking turn of events, Kasese has witnessed a series of tragic incidents that have left the community reeling. A mob attack in the dead of night resulted in the loss of one life and left another person critically injured. "We responded quickly and transported the survivor to Kasese Municipal Health Centre III for medical care," said Nelson Tumushime, SP PRO Rwenzori East Region.

The survivor, Mumbere David, 32, is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. The mob attack occurred in Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality. In another incident, a drowning occurred in R/Rwimi, claiming the life of Kamara Esau, 30, a resident of Bughoye Sub-county in Kasese District. "We're currently working on the postmortem report to establish the probable cause," added Tumushime.

The community is urged to remain calm as investigations continue. These incidents have raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in Kasese. The authorities are working hard to ensure that justice is served and that the community feels protected.
