OFFICIAL WARNING: Misrepresentation of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Symbols

The OBR Kingdom announces an official warning regarding the misrepresentation of its symbols, leading to public confusion. Despite repeated occurrences, individuals, designers, and photographers continue to incorrectly use symbols associated with the Kingdom.

In response, His Majesty, through the Ministry of Information, Mobilization, and the Kingdom Spokesperson, has issued a directive:

- All BanyaRwenzururu and BanyaRwenzururu-Kali people should disregard the aforementioned symbols.

- These symbols do not represent the Kingdom and must not be used in any form.

We urge all parties involved to take immediate corrective action to avoid further confusion.

In the near future, the Kingdom will announce official OBR agents authorized to distribute Kingdom materials throughout the country for easier access and accurate representation.

"I call upon all BanyaRwenzururu and BanyaRwenzururu-Kali people to heed this warning and respect the Kingdom's symbols. Let us preserve our cultural heritage and avoid any further misrepresentation."

- Hon. Kanyonyi Geoffrey, Minister of Information, Mobilization, and Kingdom Spokesperson

Issued: 05th November, 2024.

  1. The Banya Rwenzururu also provide constructive feedback that official and important communications like the one signed above, should have a seal or stamp for authenticity and avoidance of doubt. KZB
