Quarry Workers in Bukonzo County West Receive Support

Quarry workers in Bukonzo County West in Kasese District, who have long been overlooked and faced numerous difficulties in their duties, have finally received support. Aspiring Member of Parliament Benon Zake donated tools to the workers, including youth, women, and men, to improve their working conditions and productivity.

Kiiza Suzan, Team Leader of Kabuyiri Sand and Stone Quarries in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Town Council, expressed her gratitude towards the efforts. "We are thankful for Benon's support. These tools will greatly improve our work and productivity," Suzan said. Deo Kule, a worker at the quarries, added, "We face many challenges in our work, but with Benon's help, we feel seen and supported."

In addition to supporting the quarry workers, six spiders were also donated to the Kawembe Car Wash Savings and Credit Group, based at the Katholhu Training Center in Nyakiyumbu Sub County. A group member expressed their appreciation, saying, "We are grateful for Benon's support. Such opportunities are rare, and we appreciate his kindness."
