SCHOLARSHIP FUND LAUNCHED TO SUPPORT VULNERABLE PUPILS - KASESE

Kasese, Uganda - Hon. Baritazara Kule, Deputy Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, has launched a scholarship fund to support vulnerable students at 3 Wise Men's Star Kindergarten and Primary School.

"Education is the key to transforming lives and unlocking potential. Every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or financial situation," said Kule during the launch.

Speaking at the launch, Kule who doubles as Director at the school emphasized the importance of education in transforming lives and urged parents to prioritize their children's education. "Let us work together to ensure that no child is left behind. Let us respect children's rights and avoid child labor," he added.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Muhindo, Rector of Kinyamasika Major National Seminary, echoed Kule's sentiments, emphasizing the need for education to promote development and reduce poverty. "Education is the backbone of any society. It's the weapon that can fight poverty, hunger, and disease," said Muhindo.

Sunday Peter Kakule, Chairperson of LC III for Nyakiyumbu Sub County, praised the government's efforts to privatize education, citing improved services. "The government's move to privatize education has brought significant improvements in the sector. We commend them for their efforts," said Kakule.

The scholarship fund aims to support vulnerable pupils, including those from low-income families, orphans, and those with disabilities.
