NEW LIFE FOUNDATION EMPOWERS KASESE COMMUNITIES TO FIGHT MALNUTRITION

Mukwano Titus, Programs Director of New Life Foundation Community Rural Development, has revealed that the organization is empowering communities in Kasese to establish kitchen gardens. This initiative aims to combat malnutrition among children by ensuring families have access to fresh vegetables.

"Our goal is to have families with available vegetables in their homesteads," Mukwano explained. "We believe that by empowering communities to grow their own food, we can significantly reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among children."

In an innovative approach, Mukwano revealed that children who play for the Kamaiba Soccer Academy will also be engaged in farming activities. "We want to teach these children the importance of farming and self-sufficiency, while also promoting healthy eating habits," he said.

Through this initiative, New Life Foundation Community Rural Development aims to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Kasese, while also promoting sustainable livelihoods.
