TRUSTED CARE JUNIOR SCHOOL CELEBRATES SUCCESS DESPITE CHALLENGES - KASESE

Trusted Care Junior School in Kasese, Uganda, recently held a graduation ceremony for its top-class students, marking a milestone in their educational journey. Despite facing several challenges, the school has made significant strides in providing quality education to its students.

"We are proud of our students' success, and we believe that everything is achievable with hard work and determination," said Dr. Nathaniel Walemba Baluku, the Vice Chancellor of Rwenzori International University, who was the guest of honor at the ceremony.

The school has seen a significant increase in enrollment, from 895 registered last year to 1056 pupils this year, and has invested heavily in infrastructure development, including the renovation of blocks, construction of a girls' dormitory, and upgrade of ICT infrastructure.

However, the school still faces challenges, including a significant school fees default of 88.2 million Ugx and the need for regular maintenance of a water channel that crosses the school.

"We urge parents to pay school fees promptly to avoid accumulation of debt," said Edith Muhindo, the chairperson of the PTA. "We also request support from the government and other stakeholders to help us address our challenges."

The school has made a significant investment in its infrastructure, including the renovation of P3 and P4 blocks, construction of a girls' dormitory, and upgrade of ICT infrastructure by procuring 10 more computers.

The school has also continued to provide transport services to learners who come from distant places, ensuring their safety.

Despite these challenges, the school remains committed to providing quality education and ensuring the safety of its children.

"We are grateful for the support of our parents and staff," said Kyana Cyprus, the headteacher. "We will continue to work together to provide the best possible education for our children."

The graduation ceremony was a joyous occasion, with parents, staff, and students celebrating the achievements of the graduating class.

"I am happy for your success," Dr. Walemba told the graduates. "Remember that education is the key to unlocking your potential. Keep working hard and never give up on your dreams."

The school's patron, Rev. Fr. Dr. Paddy Baluku Sunday, emphasized the importance of parenting and urged parents to be supportive and take care of their children during the holidays. He also encouraged parents to identify and nurture their children's talents and to support their spiritual growth.

As Kasese Municipality's Principal Education Officer, Seith Ahebwa, noted, "Trusted Care Junior School is making us proud, and we acknowledge their efforts in providing quality education."

Parents also shared their appreciation and concerns: "We are so proud of our children's success and grateful for the support of the school," said Baluku Kelvin, a parent. "We urge the school management to consider us parents when it comes to fees payment. We request to be allowed to pay in installments."

"I appreciate the management of Trusted Care Junior School for their services rendering to our children," said Biira Moureen, a parent. "However, I request the school to write a document seeking help to construct the water channel that crosses through the school. It's a threat to our children's safety."

"We are happy with the progress of our children and the support of the school," said Muringi Paul, a parent from Bundibungyo. "We request the school administrators to allow us to pay fees in installments."

"I thank the management and staff of Trusted Care Junior School for their hard work and dedication," said Kule Moses, a parent. "I'm happy to see our children excelling and I encourage the school to continue providing quality education."

These comments show that parents are engaged and care about their children's education, and are willing to work with the school to address challenges and improve the learning environment.
