BREAKING NEWS: KAWEMPE NORTH MP, HON. MUHAMMAD SSEGIRINYA, PASSES ON

Kampala, Uganda - Tragedy has struck the nation as Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya, passed away early this morning.

According to reports, Ssegirinya, had been battling health issues that worsened during his imprisonment. He had been in and out of the hospital, both within and outside Uganda, undergoing treatment.

National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Bobi Wine, confirmed the sad news on social media, saying, "Very sad news this morning. Our brother, our friend, our fellow leader Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya has passed on. Such a dark morning. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un!"

Ssegirinya was a vocal advocate for his constituents and a strong critic of the government. His passing has sent shockwaves throughout the country, with many taking to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute to his legacy.

May he rest in peace.

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has taken note of a circulating petition dated April 8, 2025, addressed to the President of Uganda, seeking urgent medical support for His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma. The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
