MARU FOUNDATION URGE YOUTH TO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE AT "GO BACK TO SCHOOL" TOURNAMENT

Kasese Municipality- The "Go Back to School" tournament brought together community leaders and young athletes, with a focus on motivating the next generation.

Fred Marule, Director of Maru Action Development Foundation, emphasized the importance of striving for development and environmental conservation. "We organized this tournament to nurture and maintain the talents of the youth," Marule said. "I encourage you all to take your skills seriously and work towards becoming accomplished athletes."

Marule also stressed the importance of protecting the environment. "Let's adopt sustainable habits and protect our natural resources for future generations," he urged.

Baluku Zeverio, Treasurer of Kasese Municipality Sports Association and Director of Blessed Hope Vocational Secondary School, echoed Marule's sentiments. "This tournament is created to nurture and maintain the talents of the youth, while also instilling discipline," Zeverio said. "I encourage you all to take your skills seriously, work hard, and strive for excellence."

Both leaders emphasized the value of education and personal growth. "Focus on becoming better versions of yourselves," Marule encouraged. "Develop a reading habit, respect your parents, and avoid immoral behaviors."

The "Go Back to School" tournament is a testament to the community's commitment to empowering the next generation. By providing a platform for youth to develop their talents and discipline, organizers hope to create a brighter future for all.

All six participating teams received presents, and special envelopes were awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
