FDC NOMINATES KALIFAH AGANAGA FOR KAWEMPE NORTH BY-ELECTION

Kampala, Uganda - The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has nominated musician Sadat Mukiibi, alias Kalifah Aganaga, as its flagbearer for the upcoming Kawempe North parliamentary by-election.

The nomination was made official at the FDC party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, where Kalifah expressed his enthusiasm about his new political journey.

The Kawempe North parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of National Unity Platform's (NUP) Muhammad Ssegiriny. The by-election is scheduled to take place on March 13, 2025.

Kalifah, a renowned musician, had previously attempted to contest for the Rubaga South parliamentary seat in the 2021 general elections under the NUP ticket.
