Kenneth Kabagambe Drops Independent Allegations, Backs FDC and Launches Community SACCO : Kasese Municipality

Kabagambe has announced he will not run as an independent candidate as it has been allegeded by some people in the upcoming elections after losing in the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party primaries in Kasese Municipality on July 9, 2025.

Kabagambe reaffirmed his loyalty to the FDC, urging supporters to back the party’s chosen flag bearer. He also promised to fulfill campaign pledges, including funding education for pupils in the municipality.

To support the community, Kabagambe launched a Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO), a group where members save and borrow money together to improve their livelihoods. He donated UGX 5 million to start the SACCO and committed to ensuring its official registration.

Nzalha Christopher, chairperson of Kabagambe’s task force, said the SACCO will benefit all locals, not just his supporters, by providing financial support for businesses and farming.

Kule Bonex, an aspirant for Nyamwamba Division LC III chairperson, praised Kabagambe’s efforts and called on voters to support the FDC candidate in 2026.

As Kasese prepares for the elections, Kabagambe’s SACCO and continued support for FDC highlight his dedication to the community’s economic and political progress
