MISS TOURISM RWENZORI 2025/2026 WINNERS ANNOUNCED
In a grand ceremony held at Legacy Chill Out Kasese ( 4th July 2025) , Masika Rinah was crowned Miss Tourism Rwenzori 2025/2026. The proud Mukonzo from the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains will spearhead efforts to boost tourism and culture in the region, having promised to promote these key areas during her reign.
The runners-up were also announced, with Natukunda Linda taking the position of 1st Runner-up and Karungi Asanat being crowned 2nd Runner-up. Natukunda Linda is known for her passionate advocacy for Rwenzori culture, community, tourism, and hospitality.
During the event, several notable figures made significant announcements. Hon. Kambale Ferigo pledged to establish a History Museum in Kasese to preserve stories and honor contributors to the district's development. He offered free space at Rwenzori TV to support Miss Tourism pass information to the public.
Link Bus Company Limited also expressed its commitment to supporting tourism beyond its transportation services. "Link Bus Company Limited is not only for transportation but also engages in other aspects, like supporting tourism," said Tom Alinde, Administration and Public Relations Officer.
Mr. Masaba Christopher, Chief Warden of Queen Elizabeth National Park, announced an exciting offer for the winners. "All contestants and the outgoing Miss Tourism will have free entry to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mt. Rwenzori," he said, highlighting the importance of tourism in promoting culture.
Mr. Isuka Benon, CEO of Rwenzori Mountaineering Services, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "Today, we're not only here to crown the next Miss Tourism Rwenzori, but also to showcase the breathtaking beauty of the Rwenzori mountains to the world."
In a related initiative, Reach A Hand Uganda, Kasese Branch, aims to empower Miss Tourism Rwenzori to educate girls and parents about menstrual health, further solidifying the event's impact on the community.
The winners are expected to make a significant impact in promoting the region's rich heritage and tourism industry. Congratulations to Masika Rinah, Natukunda Linda, and Karungi Asanat on their wins
