Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Provides Details on Unveiling the Official Birthday Run Kit

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom is set to unveil the official Omusinga Birthday Run kit on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The event, scheduled for November 14, 2025, has generated significant excitement among the youth, who have been creating and sharing viral graphics and digital content on social media.

In a statement, the kingdom's Ministry of Information, Mobilization & Spokespersonship expressed heartfelt appreciation to the vibrant youth of Rwenzururu for their overwhelming enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative in support of the event.

"These spontaneous expressions of solidarity and cultural pride are deeply valued and speak volumes about the love our people have for the Kingdom and its future," said Ow'Ek. Geoffrey Kanyonyi, Royal MoIMS.

The official kit unveiling will be a major milestone in the preparations for the Omusinga Birthday Run. The kingdom's leadership encourages the public to await official designs and communication, which will be shared on Thursday.


The event aims to promote peace, culture, and development in the Rwenzori region. All sons and daughters of Rwenzururu, along with friends and well-wishers, are urged to actively prepare for this symbolic and unifying event.

"Let us run for peace, culture, and development in the Rwenzori region," Kanyonyi emphasized.

Kasese Catholic Diocese Permitted to Run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences.

Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health has accredited Kasese Catholic Diocese to run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences in a move to improve healthcare in the country. The institution that will run under Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital is meant to produce health workers who are God fearing and dedicated to their services. Mr. Joseph Kule Nzukwa, the Chairperson for the Governing Council for the institution explain that the government positively responded to their application for running a college at the diocesan headquarters.
