Stanbic Bank Hands Over Life-Saving Medical Equipments to Rukoki Hospital - Kasese

Stanbic Bank has presented Rukoki General Hospital in Kasese District with a substantial donation of medical equipment valued at Shs 44.8 million. The equipment, comprising 10 hospital beds, 2 blood pressure monitors, 4 oxygen concentrators, and 200 mama kits, is set to enhance maternal and child healthcare services

This generous donation forms part of the bank's Shs 300 million corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting nine healthcare facilities nationwide. The "With Love from Stanbic" campaign seeks to make a meaningful impact in the communities the bank serves.

Kasese District Chief Administrative Officer Paul Walakira expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donation, noting that the hospital attends to a large number of expectant mothers, many of whom are teenagers.

Stanbic Bank representatives, including Regional Bank Manager Bernard Ogwal and Kasese Branch Manager Mores Bakwanasonga, underscored the bank's commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and supporting local communities.

The hospital administration and patients alike welcomed the donation, thanking the bank for its kindness and pledging to utilize the equipment effectively to serve the community.

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has taken note of a circulating petition dated April 8, 2025, addressed to the President of Uganda, seeking urgent medical support for His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma. The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
