Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Set To Streamline and Strengthen Administrative Structures

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) has embarked on a mission to revamp its administrative structures, aiming to boost coordination, accountability, and socio-economic progress in the Rwenzori sub-region.

According to a statement released on February 27, 2025 the exercise, which will kick off on March 3, 2026, is designed to actualize the Five Pillars of the OBR Rebranding Philosophy: Peace, Unity in Diversity, Reconciliation, Socio-Cultural and Economic Transformation, and Mindset Change.

The OBR team will be visiting various locations in Kasese District, including Kinyamaseke, Karambi, Kyarumba, Kisinga, Kaburara, Kyihyo, Bugoye, Kabatunda, and Virina Gardens, between March 3 and 13, 2026.

Gombolola Internal Security Officers (GISOs) have been invited to participate in the exercises, which are expected to promote stability, unity, and socio-economic progress in the region.

The exercise is part of OBR's efforts to implement its Five-Year Strategic Development Plan and reinforce its commitment to the people of Rwenzururu.

Bernard Cheptoch and Rachel Chebet Zena are the Champions for the 4th Edition of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.

It was attended by runners from 35 countries, highlighting how the Marathon is international. Hon. Rwenzururu Kingdom Mourns Deputy Minister in Tragic Attack in DR. Congo

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom is mourning the loss of Hon. Anuarite Kavira Kyalima, Deputy Minister of Intercultural Cooperation and External Relations, who was brutally murdered in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday, April 29, 2025. According to reports, Hon. Anuarite was attacked by unknown assailants while returning from a burial ceremony. Her death is a significant blow to the Kingdom and ongoing efforts toward cross-border cooperation and intercultural harmony. The Kingdom through its spokesperson Hon.
