Date For 2025 Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon Announced.

Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon Posted on X handle showing the date for the 4th Edition of the Marathon which will be held on September 6, 2025.

The 2024 Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon was witnessed the numbers increase to 3,700 participants from 33 countries that not only had 42km section but also half marathon 21km , 10km and those in wheelchairs , with expectations next year the runners to increase. 

Chelangat Abel and Emily Chebet were crowned male and female winners of the third edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori international Marathon that took place in the desirable town of Kasese on Saturday, August 2024

Chelangat Abel winner of the third edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori international Marathon

Chelangat crossed the finishing line at 02:14:59 whilst Chebet clocked 02:42:08, each claiming a Shs10m cash prize.

" The vision is to make this marathon one of the world’s premier sporting events, attracting elite athletes and adventure seekers from across the globe. The long-term benefits for Kasese and Uganda as a whole are immense, from boosting tourism to driving economic growth,” said Amos Wekesa, Equator Hikes Director

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
