The intern, who was in need of a laptop, was asked to provide money to the influencer, who promised to deliver the device. However, it is alleged that the influencer failed to deliver the laptop and instead paid part of the money back to the intern, leaving a balance of 60k outstanding. The influencer, who is a journalist working with a media house in Kasese, has been accused of taking advantage of the intern's trust and exploiting their vulnerability. As a human rights defender, I am calling on the influencer to immediately repay the outstanding balance of 60k to the intern. It is unacceptable for individuals in positions of power and influence to exploit and deceive others for personal gain.
