Empowering Farmers, Transforming Communities In Kasese

"Believe in yourself, take the leap of faith and watch your dreams unfold," says Mr. Moses Bwambale, coordinator for African Heritage Research Centre.

In a bid to promote food security, nutrition, and income sources, Mr. Bwambale is urging community members to engage in agribusiness. He emphasizes hard work and focus among the youth, encouraging them to be innovative in their approaches.

African Heritage Research Center AHRC located in kyarumba sub county. Currently they're implementing a project titled "Waste to Wealth farming Initiative -W2WF"

According to Moses they are aiming at mitigating climate change through training farmers especially youths and women to get organic fertilizer, animal feeds and food supplements for malnourished children in local communities.

"We recently trained Over 300 hundreds small holder farmers in Mahango sub county, still looking forward to training more"

Rev. Keith Kule, Vicar for St. Stephens-Lhuhiri COU parish, in South Rwenzori Diocese echoes this sentiment, promoting hands-on skills among children and emphasizing the need for community members to work together. "Let us avoid hatred and selfishness, and instead, embrace love and unity," he advises.

By working together and embracing innovative approaches, the community can achieve sustainable development and improve their overall well-being. So, take the first step today and watch your community transform for the better!"

Ends.
