"We will not tolerate such reckless behavior on our roads," declared SP Nelson Tumushime, Rwenzori East Police Spokesperson. "Kule's vehicle was carrying 9 people, posing a grave risk to their safety. We will ensure he faces the full force of the law."

"He will be charged in court and will serve as an example for other people to learn from," Tumushime added.

The police spokesperson also reported an increase in accidents and house break-ins in the area. "Last week alone, we registered 3 fatal accidents, 3 serious ones, and 5 minor ones, resulting in 2 deaths and 2 injuries, all due to reckless driving. This month, we have registered an increase in cases of houses breaking, especially in Kirembe quota."
