Dr. Joy Muhindo, Health Officer for Kasese Municipality, also addressed the gathering, urging school-going children to share their problems with elders and to avoid engaging in sexual relations while still in school. "It's important for children to have someone they trust to talk to about their problems, and to avoid behaviors that can put their mental and physical health at risk," she said.

By engaging stakeholders and school-going children, the community hopes to set up strategies for ensuring improved mental health and to address the growing concern of poor mental health in the district.

As Manimog Chakma aptly put it, "Let us work together to create a mentally healthy community where everyone can thrive."
